This GoPro Hero 2018 firmware hack is really easy to do. The benefits for upgrading the firmware of your Hero 2018, will unlock 4K recording capabilities, EIS, time-laps, 12MP stills and more.
You will need to download the upgrade files to your desktop. You can download them here. provided by ohyicong on reddit and hosted by coastersteve. Once downloaded extract the files and place them in a folder called “UPDATE” then move this folder in the root directory of your micro Sd card.
Before we start the upgrade process you will need to make sure your camera is charged up to at least 50%, then insert the memory card and turn on the camera. The update should start automatically. once completed it should now be a Hero 5 Black.
